The Program will consist of some skills instruction mixed with game-like scrimmages and it is designed to introduce players to the fundamentals of lacrosse. It is an educational and competitive program that helps develop the foundation of a young lacrosse player. No experience is required for this program.
All players are required to have their own stick and will be practicing with full equipment (helmet, gloves, arm, and shoulder pads). We also require all players to have a mouth piece and protective cup for safety. If you need to rent equipment (helmet, gloves, arm, and shoulder pads) there is an additional rental cost of $25.00.
Equipment rental pickup will be on 9/3 at 9:00 AM.
Please note, all children should have their parent or a responsible adult in attendance during the entire practice.
Also, Webster Lacrosse Club coach’s are required to complete a simple background check before they are allowed on the field. If you have completed one in the Spring you do not need to re-certify at this time. If you are a new coach to the Webster Lacrosse Club it is mandatory that you register as a coach and when doing so you will find the link to the SSCI website where you will do your background check. As a coach you are about to embark on a really cool journey, Coaching Youth Lacrosse. Working with the younger age set is perhaps the most rewarding experience. We want to thank you for taking the time to volunteer to help grow and give back to such a wonderful game. Without great folks like you the Webster Lacrosse Club K-12 programs would not receive the ever-growing recognition they now enjoy. The WLC thanks and appreciates all that you do.
