Spring is right around the corner and The Webster Lacrosse Club is excited to get things started! We have taken feedback from our families and are making some changes that we feel will enhance the experience for our players and families.
The season will begin with a Kickoff Weekend March 24th and 25th run by 3d Lacrosse, a national lacrosse training organization (details below). Sessions will be held on Basket Road Turf. Schedule for Saturday, March 24th: 1/2 3:00-4:00, 3/4 4:00-5:30 and 5/6 5:30-7:00. Schedule for Sunday, March 25th: 1/2 10:00-11:00, 3/4 11:00-12:30 and 5/6 12:30-2:00
The regular season schedule will begin on Monday, 3/26:
Kindergartners: Monday game days, Wednesday practice day. All sessions 1 hour.
1st – 2nd: train with 3d Lacrosse on Sundays, Monday game day and Wednesday practice day. All sessions 1 hour.
3rd-4th: train with 3d Lacrosse on Sundays, Monday practice day and Wednesday game day. All sessions are 1.5 hours.
5th-6th: train with 3d Lacrosse on Sundays, Tuesday practice day and Thursday game day. All sessions are 1.5 hours.
*3d Lacrosse will be developing the plans for practice days.
Season concludes the week of June 4th.
We are also excited to announce that all boys are welcome to compete in the Cinqo de Laxo Tournament in Penfield on Sunday, May 6th. This will provide an opportunity to play against other towns and give everyone an idea of what it would be like to participate on one of our travel teams. Participation is not mandatory.

About 3d Lacrosse and the coaches:

Dave Dobbins and Craig Lepiane will be running the training sessions. Dave is a Webster alum who has garnered many accolades as a coach. After completing his playing career at Colgate University, he spent time as the assistant varsity coach at Webster Schroeder. He then moved on to Salisbury University as an assistant coach earning the IMLCA Outstanding Assistant Coach of the Year in Division III in 2005 and helped them win National Championships in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008. He then moved on to serve as the Associate Head Coach at the Ohio State University. He currently serves as the Head Coach at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.
Craig Lepiane is a West Irondequoit graduate who was a 3-time All-American at Ithaca College. Craig served as an assistant coach at nationally recognized IMG Academy in Florida. He currently serves as an assistant coach at West Irondequoit High School.
We feel that bringing on 3d Lacrosse will be a great asset to the club and its players. They have a proven system that creates an environment for players to learn and thrive. Their practices are focused on getting each player a maximum amount of touches with the ball, which is critical in their growth as a player.
3/4 Spring Program Specifics:
Who: Third and Fourth Grade - (3/4)
Duration: March 24th through June 6th
When: Sunday Training, Monday Practices and Wednesday Games (game schedules and times TBD)
What: Focus will be on fundamentals, stick work, scrimmages, and games
Where: Training will be at Basket Road, Thomas or Schroeder Turf. Practices and games will be at Dewitt Road Elementary or Ridgecest Park.
Please note, all children should have their parent or a responsible adult in attendance during the entire practice.
